Outward Bound had just landed coveted office space in The Innovation & Design Building in Boston’s Seaport when they came to me for help. The new space featured window walls that exposed the entire working space to passing foot traffic. These walls also provided the only source of natural light, so creating some privacy had to be balanced against making the office entirely dependent on artificial light. By creating custom translucent decals in a warm color and covering only part of the walls, the light passthrough was maintained. My custom illustrations were designed to tell the Outward Bound/Thompson Island story to passing work neighbors and visitors.
